Communities of Practice

All participants in the training courses are invited to play an active role in our worldwide learning communities.

Management Skills Group

This community of practice:

  • is dedicated to discussing and sharing knowledge about management issues with colleagues around the world, thus contributing to effective and sustainable development.
  • supports the international learning community with up-to-date news and information on management skills and expertise.
  • provides access to a range of resources such as case studies, websites and the MSG discussion forum. Every three weeks, a newsletter provides information about new items in the different sections. Professional tutors facilitate the forum.

What do I get in the Management Skills Group (MSG)?

Knowledge, opportunities, ideas and contacts!

And how can I become a member of the MSG?

There are three ways:
By being proposed: either the online course tutors, the GIZ project team or a member of the MSG  nominates new members. Accepting the invitation, he /she joins the community.
Via application: with two references from people who are already members of MSG. If the two members referred to in the application of MSG are in favor of this, the applicant becomes a full member.
Through contributions: Authors writing Knowledge Nuggets about management issues, giving an interesting lecture in a recent webinar or providing other media clips to share thematic and interesting content with the community, are also invited to join.

> Click here to send an application or suggestions! Introduce yourself with a brief profile and bio data which will be published to the community afterwards.  Please remember to include either two references or a project proposal. We are looking forward to managers and leaders from all over the world – especially from developing countries and countries in transition -  to join this interesting community of practice.
